Congratulations to Emily Stenzler of North Stockton 4-H for her selection to the State 4-H Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathmatics Education Committee! We asked her to share a little about what her role this coming year will entail:
I am excited to have been selected to serve as part of the 4-H STEM Advisory Committee. The 4-H STEM Education Advisory Committee is comprised of a diverse group of members that will help in the implementation of 4-H STEM programing, resources, literacy and more. I myself have had the unique opportunity of experiencing a variety of STEM programs including San Joaquin County Office of Education Robotics, Santa Clara University Engineering Education Program and Cal Poly's engineering summer program. Additionally, I recently began an Astronomy Project in North Stockton 4-H in collaboration with the Stockton Astronomical Society. I hope that my personal experiences and input can help the 4-H STEM Education Advisory Committee in exposing and inspiring more youth to explore the different fields in STEM (science, technology, engineering and math).
